Well I signed up to rcv the free ipad at free ipad.com and this is when I started getting all the telemarketing calls almost instantly. So just FYI dont do it. Its just another way for them to take some money from you and in the end you save a whole lot more just buying the damn thing at the Apple store. Remember NOTHING IS REALLY FREE! thats a whole bunch of BS :)
I did the same thing. I got an ad from Wendy's and as I went from screen to screen, one came up for an almost free IPad2. Dummy me, I entered enough information that they got my name and phone number. I did not even complete the page and exed out. The calls started coming in within an hour of when I did this. The first caller was from India and I could not understand a single word she said. I hung up. Since then the calls keep coming and I will not answer when that number pops up on my caller ID.
I did the same thing once it started asking me for my credit card information, I exited out of the website but after I had already giving them my name and number Dummy Me 2...
for real. im 14 and this number wont quit callin. i answered once and he asked for me but i acted like he had the wrong number. somebody really needs to report these calls.
