Got call apparently from this ph# just a few min ago; get similar type of calls regularly apparently from various FL area code numbers (spoofed). Spoke w/"Brian", who started the usual spiel: they work with both Visa and MC to lower interest payments. Upon questioning, Brian said the company name is "Account Services" physically located in Georgia. He appeared genuinely puzzled when I asked him why his call appeared to be coming from a Florida area-code#. He said he was 16 yrs old & had been working there only 3 days and was interested in hearing more about my assertion that his employer was a notorious rogue telemarketing scammer that ignores the DNC registry and spoofs their real phone#. I encouraged him to research the matter.
I am working at a technical library on a Navy base so I cannot put the number on the do not call list but I wanted to tell them to take the number off of their list. I press 1 and instantly get a live operator. This time he sounded like an American. I told him to take us off of his list and he said I had to do this myself. So I ended by saying "stop calling the Navy" and hung up. both of us were rude. :)
I did not catch what company these jerks were claiming to be.
A note about the Do not call center. All they do is collect data to be used in court against these pond scum. The Attourney General of whatever state they are in proscutes them.
Received this call and did not answer. Called back and got a recording that said that this number is no longer in service. Receive calls from this number 4 times a day. Am getting real sick of this. Anybody else would hve been in jail by now!
Came in as unknown name, I don't answer these. I figure if they don't have the courtsey to show their name, I don't give them the courtsey of answering. Yes, anoying as hell! Get rid of these please.............
