Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

They insisted they wanted to speak to my husband, and they insisted they were the Post Office. Gave me a bunch of numbers. That was yesterday. It was nonstop calls until I picked up. Today they called and insisted they needed to speak to me. Again, the nonstop phone calls. All in Spanish. She would give me a number and then  ask me to repeat it to her. I told her the Post Office wouldn't call and speak in Spanish and she got offended saying they spoke Spanish in the Post Office.

My wife Irene (comment listed above) was at work when I was off and answered the phone. The lady speaking in Spanish insisted on speaking to my wife. She would not tell me her business and wanted me to have Irene contact her. She said her name was Marcella Gonzales at (512) 422-5912 and to have my wife Irene call her. Marcella questioned my age (only told her I was over 21) and that someone would be out at our house tomorrow noon to check "fallas technicos". When I said did not understand what is it she would be checking "Marcella" would not elaborate. I asked her if she was selling anything; she insisted she was not. I said OK, come on by. I will probably be home then and this should be interesting now that I have seen this web site.

I spoke with my mother earlier today, which explain to me that someone had tried to PRANK her over the weekend. She told me that a man that went by the name of Ramon Mesa had called her telling her that she needed to pick up a certified mail in the post office. He asked her for her birth date (which she didn't give him). He gave her a number and asked her to repeat it. For some reason they want you to repeat the numbers that they give you. My mother which was already scammed realized that this is one of those calls and told him she was going to give his information to the police and he hung up.

Today, I received a call at my mother in laws home(red flag) no one should be calling me here, I don't live with her. A lady speaking Spanish told me that she had a certified letter for me to pick up from the post office. I asked her how come my mailman didn't bring me the yellow slip for the certified letter. She told me that it had been left at my home address. She gave me her employer id of 111050 a address of the post office 3801 SW 8 Avenue(no such address) and a phone number of (305)422-5912 which I called right after we hung up and the telephone is disconnected. She asked me to repeat the numbers that she had giving me and I told her that I wasn't going to repeat anything that I knew she was a phony and that I was going to report this call to the authorities.

About two hours after the previous call. The same lady calls my mother in laws house again asking to speak with me. This time I told her I didn't speak Spanish. I realized she doesn't not speak English. She commenced telling me in Spanish that she was calling me from the social security office. This time I gave her a piece of my mind. I told her she had just called me earlier telling me that she was calling from the post office.  I told her the people at the social security office know how to speak English.  That the Social Security office does not call from a caller ID telephone listed as Ramon Mesa. That I was going to report her to the authorities and that I was writing about their scam in the internet. That people like her should be behind bars. The only thing I gave her a chance to say is that I was rude and I hung up on her. No more calls for now.
