Received same phone call today from an IRS agent telling me I have to call back or they will take action against me...what a scam after reading all the reports...I've blocked the number!!
Said the cops are coming for me! Wanted the name of my lawyer. Now I just mess with these people right back. Gave them Robert shapiros name hahahhaha idiots
Got a message from niki Johnson then spoke to am eastern indian man, whom I could hardly understand, saying I owe the irs money amd if I dint pay my assets well be seized and an arrest warrent will be pUT out. Along with suspending my drivers license.
Local BBB asked by treasury IRS for persons to report this reportedly very active scam to 800 366 4484. But this was big phone tree automated hassle, full voice mailboxes said possible, seems mostly directed to fill out complaints on web. So I bailed, called back locak BBB reported the hassle of being directed to above Treasury IRS #, and again reported the possibly accurate scam phone #. I ignored the call, had the tail end perhaps of the fake IRS threats. The message gives same # as called ID. Seems spoofing worthless as if don't call back, how can they scam $ from those called.
