Received same phone call today from an IRS agent telling me I have to call back or they will take action against me...what a scam after reading all the reports...I've blocked the number!!
Answered this call expecting shenanigans, since I don't know anyone in Marathon, FL, and was not disappointed- automated message said they were so-and-so from the IRS and that I had to return the call the SECOND I received their message or action would be taken against me. Not sure what else message threatened as my kids started fighting during it. If the IRS really has beef with somebody, they're gonna let you know by the slowest method they can find, Pony Express or whatever, they're not gonna initiate a game of phone tag with you. Don't even bother calling this number back.
received identical call form Niki Johnson with threat of IRS action against me if I did not respond by immediate call back. Obvious scam, got our IT Department to search the number and discovered the scam was widespread.
Got the same automated message saying it's Nicki Johnson from the IRS, to call them before they take action and the call ends with take care. Bunch of scammers...need to get a real living and stop harassing people and earn a real life!! You scammers ...HAVE A NICE DAY!!
