For the last several days i keep getting calls from this number claiming to be a legal firm and they are saying its a case involving my name and social security number. My name is never mentioned in any of the messages and a few of the calls are from someone claiming to be an Investigator named Michelle Davenport. Now today a man claiming to be John Scott calls from this same number claiming he will be seeing me in a couple days to serve me legal documents that are certified. I am positive this is a total scam for several reasons. I have not done any financial transactions that i would be getting served for. It also doesnt make sense to me that if i was indeed being served that someone would be calling me by phone and leaving a voicemail making an appointment to tell me they are bringing me certified legal documents. Most certified legal documents are delivered via US Mail with a certified return receipt so the court has legal record from the postal service to show they were signed for. The post office isnt going to call to warn somebody they are serving them with certified documents either. How many postal carriers with the US Mail call to tell you they are serving you court papers...and i doubt any normal process server would either. Just doesnt make sense at all. There is nothing i should be getting served for anyhow. This guy that called me today said he would see me Weds to give me these supposed documents. So i bet no one even shows up Weds...since its a scam to scare me into calling them so they can trick me into giving them my name, social security number, etc so they can either commit identity theft with it or whatever scam they want it to use for. The other interesting thing is that they claim to be investigators and a legal firm but my caller id comes up saying "United Financial" .
Blocked my number and called them, asked them why are you calling me, I gave them the number they were calling threatened them with my lawyer and I was told my number will be removed in 72 hours
I just got a call from these folks. So glad to read these comments. I thought I had my identity stolen or something. I guess they are just trying to get us to settle right? She had my name and last 4 and my old address. This is bs that this can even happen
