Scam caller was asking me to turn on my computer because my IP was traced as a source of a computer infection. I am an IT consultant and this is a SCAM. It's a social engineering attempt to have you install malware and truly infect your computer if you follow their instructions and possibly pay for fake software. DO NOT listen to them just hang up and report them to the FCC. DO NOT give them any personal information or turn on your computer as requested.
Some dude called about the problems I have been reporting about my computer. I have never reported a problem about my computer to anyone but my brother in law who was a comm specialist in the military. I told him to get lost, and said I was going to report his number to the authorities. It took awhile to figure it out because his accent was so thick I couldn't understand anything.
It was a woman who called me and said there were errors on my computer and I should turn it on right away so she could tell me how to fix it. I started asking her questions and the more I asked the thicker her accent got. I finally just hung up. Don't know what this scam is about but I'm sure it's a scam.

Just received a SCAM call from 305-760-4130. The caller had a thick Indian accent and claimed to be from Microsoft Windows Services 101. He claimed my IP was traced as the source of an infection and wanted me to turn on my computer to troubleshoot. Please do not fall for this obvious social engineering scam if you get a similar call. Hang up and if possible report them to the FCC. Thank You.
Received similar scam phone call. When I asked what phone number he was calling from, he said 305-702-0555. I kept on asking him from where he called, then he hung up.
