I received 3 or 4 calls from this number all within a few minutes of each other asking for my roommate. I was unable to understand the person so I hung up and then got another phone call from a private number, but it was the same person.
This just happened to me. Same name on the Caller I.D. (BT & S, LLC). Multiple calls, no one on the line. In between the calls, my sister's number showed up. We answered, but received a dial tone immediately. More calls came from this number. I then dialed my sister's phone. All those calls had indeed been my sister, trying to get through to me about a family emergency. On her end of the line, she neither heard us, nor could she make us hear her voice.
THIS number (305) 938-5809 originates from Florida. Another number, originating from California, showed on our Caller I.D. once when my spouse repeatedly attempted to phone home while away. As my spouse's number never was displayed that day, I wasn't able to call my spouse back.
These experiences prompt me to believe that our phone systems route calls along lines that aren't busy at THAT particular moment. It makes no difference, apparently, where in the country you actually live...
On Feb 18 at 11:09AM PST, this number was connected to a person who'd called into a conference call (it later showed up on the post-call conference call report). The person claimed he'd just called from his cell phone, but we suspect he used some kind of call recording service and that this "middleman" is the number that showed up. But still have had no luck tracking it down.
