Got a call from them for the past 3 days. Called it back once, they won't tell you who is suing you. They give you 3 options, pay off your debt, do a monthly payment which is more or go to court. It's a scam.
I received a call today saying that I had opened an online cash advance in 2012 with Ace Check advance online. I have never done this. He then asked me if my bank was accurate and a payment was made in 2012 and I asked how the payment was made and was told by a green dot prepaid card which I have never heard of. He then asked me different questions like if I had been recently married and what were my most recent loans opened. I told him none and he proceeded to tell me they would send my information to my local police station. They also told me they had sent information to my email- which I have not received. They could not give me an information where the collection agency sent the information either. I basically told the guy I didn't have time for this and to do whatever they needed to do.
Got a Call from 2403088646 with a VM with the exact same msg. the name in the VM was blank But had a case # telling me to call 3072064539. sounds like a scam. something similar happened to a buddy of mine.
I work for a division of Cyber Security for the DoD and this voicemail you receive is 100% a scam. They try to scare you, you call the number, and they try to charge you a fee to "settle out of court". A civil lawsuit will never be served in this manner. Take the numbers down along with this number they give you to call and report it to the Attorney General.
