They are not attorneys. They are debt collectors. They will pretend to be a law firm in order to scare you. They want you to give them information about this person. Basically they want you to do their job for them. Ignore them. Block their calls.
I was so disappointed that that their calls are just a recording. I would call them back and invite them to come get me at my workplace. Fortunately for me my area code coincides with my state attorney generals' office.
I am a retired federal law enforcement. These dements called me and when I advised them who I was a retired LEO, the guy gave me over to a lady who began screaming at me and said she would report me to the FBI for taking out a payday loan. Okay this is so funny. First I didnt take out a payday loan and second why on earth would that matter to the FBI. She then called me a [***] for asking for their address and hung up on me. Before her the guy said they were located in Atlanta. Warning complete scam guys. Just block them.
It is a scam...do not pay them anything..do not give them any information, do not verify any of your personal information. I received the same message, after some research I discovered this is a scam and they claim to be the county clerk one day, a debt collector the next day..they are idiots!! Ignore them!!
They called my work and I was out of Office so they immediately called me on cell trying to get a hold of me they had my place of employment a wreck. Then they called and left a message which said that "immediately with the county clerks office. This department will be actively pursuing you at your place of residence or employment you do have the legal right to resolve this issue outside of court. They must be busy today..Called me today too and when I asked for their address the lady got mad and said she didn't have to give me that information. Really? Last I knew, they had to tell you who they are and give you the information you ask, and also send you a debt validation letter in the mail upon request, the women refused to do any of that....so sick of dealing with these morons!! No matter how much they bother me, they will not ever get one cent from me so they are wasting their time!
