This rude man said that he was calling to offer me a chance to make money. When I asked how much it would cost, he told me nothing "today". I told him specifically to take me off his calling list he said he was not a solicitor. When I said I would call the attorney generals office he kept talking, when I told him he was required by FCC regulations to remove me from his calling list he got more rude and hung up. When you call back the recording says that it is not in service.
Skippy, thank you so much for posting this. I just wish i knew this information sooner. I'm one of the unlucky suckers to got scammed by franklin financial solutions. I'm in the process of trying to get my credit card company to reverse the charges i foolishly allowed them to put onto it. Is there anymore information you can share about them that would be helpful to the rest of us? FFS has a new website: www.franklinfinancialsolutions.com. What i really got duped on was this marketing campaign that was never mentioned until my "coach" finally contacted me. She first told me about 3 different campaigns and wouldn't tell me how much they cost until i really pushed her for the cost. She then told me that i should sign up for one and asked me about my credit limits on my cards and how much of a balance i had on them. When she felt that i was about to decline the offer she offered to pay for part of the campaign out of her own pocket. When i wasn't going to budge she then asked if i had any other cards that i could use, i let it slip that i had one other that i only used for emergencies. Like an idiot i let her talk me into not only signing me up for the "Elite" campaign, i gave her my number. I truly believed FFS was a real business. Soon after she got my money, i stopped getting calls from her.....surprise surprise! At first i was excited about this campaign, but the longer i had to think about it the more uneasy i got. After talking to my Mom about it a few days later, she found this site. I immediately called my credit card companies and let them know of those charges. I got one card to reverse the charges but my other credit card company needs me to write a detailed letter of what was promised, names, circumstances, etc. Just today i got 3 calls from "marketing reps" trying to tell me i'm legally obligated to pay for what i signed up for and that there aren't any refunds. Before they called i learned about something called the Cooling-Off Rule from my Mom, which states that the salesperson must tell you about your cancellation rights at the time of sale. the salesperson also must give you 2 copies of a cancellation form (one to keep and one to send) and a copy of your contract or receipt. I never recieved the cancellation forms. I was very briefly told that i could cancel, but why would i want to if i were making lots of money, eh?
This whole situation has turned out to be worse than a three-ring circus for me. I just home that with this information all details of my situation will be enough to convince my credit card company to reverse those charges...
If anyone has proof that helps prove that FFS is a scam, i would appreciate it. I've notified the BBB, Attorney General and the IC3 about them.
beware of 702-297-6772, it's another number being used by FFS. Got a call from that number and they started off the same speel as the first guy who suckered me. Before he could start his script i told him to remove my number and never call again then hung up. Seconds later that same number called and i had my husband pick up. Either he didn't pick up soon enough or that guy hung up on him as soon as he heard his voice. Shuckie darns.
As to getting your money back, call the number on your credit card(s) and report that you were scammed. Don't be surprised if they ask you to write them a letter saying why you feel you were scammed. That's what i had to do since i told they i approved the charges (before i knew FFS was a scam). Give them all the information you have, what you were promised, what it cost, address to FFS, website addy, email addies, names of the FFS people you talked to, their phone numbers, dates when you talked to them and copies of any documents, invoices, etc. Thankfully i had written lots of things down when i talked to them and i still had their numbers (with dates) in my cell. I haven't gotten those charges reversed yet but i only sent out my letter to my credit card company on the 18th. Hopefully by the end of the year i will get good news regarding it and be able to sleep better at night again.
You may wish to contact the Attorney General in the state that FFS says they're located in and see if they can go after them. Report them to the Better Business Bureau and the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3.gov). If enough complaints come in i'm sure they're have no choice but to look into FFS.
Ive been getting calls constantly from this supposed company. theres nothing ive figured out yet to make them quit. they are quite rude and have been calling me anywhere from 7am til 830pm and upwards of 10x a day. i did talk to one person trying to figure out what the hell they wanted. and now its just pissing me off. No matter how many times you tell them to remove your number from their list it wont happen and whenever i ask they hang up on me. but if i hang up on them they just keep calling me back.
seriously who has nothing better to do but to harass me at all times for the past month or so. I think im going to try asking how they got my number.
Another thing, if i get a guy calling me, typically he says sure he can remove my number and then he hangs up on me. however, if a girl calls me, shes a complete [***] to me and tells me i can remove my number by going to my bank. I did not give my bank permission to give out my number. Is no one safe from these harrassing no brained [***] stupid [***] people?? come on!!!???
good to know im not the only one to be harrassed, but it makes me feel for all of you guys who are.
And i think its [***] that they can call and harrass you but when u call their number : 307-298-0247, it says the number is no longer in service.
more numbers that have called me from "franklin financial solutions" are 619-268-4800, 623-277-5159, and i believe 206-337-3008 but not entirely sure.
I have my cell phone to keep in touch with my boss and my family. why the hell are random numbers calling me and how they get my number??? im done. good luck to the rest of you and i will be back if i find out anything more to update you guys.
