Put a warning on your credit bureau reports that someone may be trying to open accounts in your name and ask that any requests made be verified by contacting you at your address in writing unless you are making a purchase in person with verifiable ID.
They called me 3 times on yesterday. I finally answered this morning. When I asked what the call was in reference to the gentleman on the other end says " We would like to offer you financial assistance with your recent surgery." I replied you must have the wrong number because I've never been hospitalized or had any type of surgery. Then he asked to verify some personal information. That's when I hung up.
Calls all hours of the day. Won't let us know what they are calling about until we give them all our personal information when we say we don't give it out unless we know the person or business they hang up. Seems funny tome
these people called me at work!!!, asked for me specifically. how on earth they got my work number I will never know. the person on the other end of the line was some woman with what sounded like a indian or Bangladeshi accent. she refused to tell me what the call was in regards to other than a business proposition and kept demanding that I give her my home address. I refused to verify her questions and demanded that she remove my name from their calling list.
They called myself and another line on my wireless account. Almost simultaneously, asking to authorize the call for one of our names but had the wrong person. Then called the other line and hung up immediately
