I have been receiving calls from ic-systems. These calls started on the 17th of September up to this date the 20th which is today. I answered one call which was today and a broken English person asking for me then transferring my call. Asking me to verify personal info which I refuse to give out. I ask what the call is in reference too and the reply is Personal Business Matters, they will not give me any more info unless the verify my last 4 digit of ssn that they already know and my address, at which they already know, again I won't verify it to someone I have no idea who they are. I have no clue who IC-System I owe nobody anything other what I pay each month and never late. The numbers that is coming thru are the 307-316-7521 and 605-496-0704. I want these calls to stop.
I have been in similar situations in years gone by. Unfortunately these operations tend not to listen. I tend to believe that they assume their information is correct and assume people will say anything to avoid these calls.
For years ever since this new number we get phone calls from one after another attempting to collect from the apparent previous owner of the phone number. Most refuse to return to debt owner and can be amusing to play with. The indiana attorney General refuses to get involved although debt could be owed to a specific town. Interesting what tidbits can be picked up even though we don't know the person and ask to be removed. So much for privacy. They call me, as far as I know the call is a prank, so why can't I pretend to be this person so I can call the original debt holder and put an end to the endless prank calls or at least be armed with the information the attorney general refuses to gather in order to end the harassment. Must arm phone with device preventing recording on their end so the attorney general does his/her/its job rather than the bogus calls continue and we sit in jail for baiting the debtor.
