Wow! Only three posts for this number and they're all written by SHILLS! HAHAHA!

Recieved a call not nice at all threated me with court. Then I Google and find this yep its a scam claiming I had a payday loan in 2008 with ace cash express never even heard of them..

They also refused to mail me any proof of the debt but was more the willing to email it asked for a address and was told they didn't operate that way these people are scamming lying idiot so if you get a call from David Allen with Westward mediation its BS make them give you proof in writing in the postal mail with physical return address before you pay a dime also I misspelled my last name to this David Allen who still somehow found the bogus debt figure that one out after that phone call I called ace cash express who is mailing me a letter of a zero balance paid in full to date proof letter so now ya know don't mess with these ppl

Same company different #. Some lawyer outfit looking for collections, reporting them to the feds.

Thanks Pat for your info above. I found it especially interesting that you misspelled your name yet they still found you in their "database". They actually have a website. It's www.westwoodmediation.com if you're interested in checking out this scam. I read through the site because with these types of scams, they are usually dumb enough to give themselves away by stating they'll "use any means necessary to get your money paid back to you" or refer to payday loans as "returned checks", etc. Westwood Mediation must be "headed" by a seasoned scamming pro because they don't give themselves away on the site; at least as far as I can see. Check it out and let me know if you found anything interesting. LOL!
Just so you all know, if you tell them you will report them for violations of the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practice Act) and they tell you they are not debt collectors; please remind them they are. I've taken the liberty to copy and paste the definition of debt collector from the FDCPA itself:

(6) The term "debt collector" means any person who uses any instrumentality of interstate commerce or the mails in any business the principal purpose of which is the collection of any debts, or who regularly collects or attempts to collect, directly or indirectly, debts owed or due or asserted to be owed or due another. Notwithstanding the exclusion provided by clause (F) of the last sentence of this paragraph, the term includes any creditor who, in the process of collecting his own debts, uses any name other than his own which would indicate that a third person is collecting or attempting to collect such debts. For the purpose of section 808(6), such term also includes any person who uses any instrumentality of interstate commerce or the mails in any business the principal purpose of which is the enforcement of security interests. The term does not include --

(A) any officer or employee of a creditor while, in the name of the creditor, collecting debts for such creditor.
