Who called from 3082102804

This number has been calling me at work. So I called and the guy said I had and outsanding balance with Ace Cash Express. He also said in the agreement I wasn't allow to claim them on my bankruptcy and I would be turned in for check fraud.  Can this happen?

My husband got the same call for the same Ace Cash Express! He never heard of them, and They (Ace Cash) never heard of my husband! It was also from supposedly 2008! Can't wait to call them back and tell them they are full of [***]!

Did you have a loan with them ever? If not, they can not do a thing. I tslked to the manager at Ace Cash Express in Milwaukee, WI and she never heard of my husband! Their number is 414-645-4271. The manager's name is Joci. Pronounced Josie. She will at least tell you if there is a ligit account!

Got a call from the same company. asked them for their address and told them I would be counter suing them for harrassment, they hung up on me.  it took me 30 minutes to get info from them  Address was in different state then phone #.  Was told they have the papers where I signed for the loan at Ace Cash Express.  Asked them to tell me what store I signed, they couldn't.  Called Ace and they have never heard of me.  Someone applied for loan using my cell phone number that is why I am getting called.  Ace Loan Department verified it was a scam and not to pay them anything!

Apparently, Ace Cash Express was hacked into. I believe I had applied for a loan from them and was told that I couldn't get one because I live in Massachusetts; where it's illegal to get a payday loan. Perhaps Ace Cash should be made aware that they've been "infiltrated"? I'm sure they're out there selling people's information anyway. That seems to be the M.O. of payday loan companies these days.
@kiki- No, this can't happen. An unpaid loan, payday or otherwise, is NOT check fraud. These kinds of criminals/scam outfits like to tell you that because you can't be arrested for an unpaid loan but you can be arrested for a bad check; this way they can lead you to believe it's serious. In other words, they can threaten and frighten you into paying a debt you don't owe. It doesn't matter if it's a legit account either, don't pay Westwood Mediation!!!! They are not a real collection agency, therefore, the money you pay will go straight into their pockets or perhaps their crack pipes, and you will be left out a few hundred or thousand dollars with an open debt still in your name.
Bottom line- Westwood Mediation can't and won't do anything to you because they CAN'T! They'd have to be a legitimate business to do that. It'd be like a drug dealer taking you to court because you owed for the bag of dope you got from him/her last week. Give me a BREAK!!!
