Amanda, just wanted to get some prices about Direct TV. They said they had to have my address, email, AND my SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. I was not going to give them any of this info. All I wanted was a quote. Guess I'll just stay with Comcast...
we just signed up for Comcast phone service and I just got a call a few minutes ago. I checked the number because I didn't answer it. The call came out of Beverly Hills, Ca.
Since everyone is getting this call or calls after signing up with either Comcast or direct tv, I'm assuming there's a link somewhere transferring data from one to the other. At any rate--I don't answer any call that I don't recognize the caller or number. They can either leave a message or the heck with them. I just keep deleting that number from my phone log and they do give up eventually from what I've noticed.
Called Direct TV to get competitive quote to help fight TWC increases. Then called TWC to get better rate. Now getting repeated calls from this number. No one on line when I answered. Also got call from "Jamaica", which is probably scam, yesterday. Is this all connected?
I placed an order for Direct TV on Saturday 4/26 and also for phone/internet with Century Link on the same day; both companies stated they keep customer information confidential, which I believe. Yesterday I received 2 calls from this number and 1 so far today. I did't answer the phon and have blocked the number.
