Who called from 3102068406

I have been getting numerous calls from this number (310-206-8406) recently on my cell, which is on the do not call list,  I do not answer these calls.  The number is listed for  the UCLA development (donations) organization.  I e-mailed them at  [email protected]  and they took me off their list.

My wife and I are UCLA alums so we're polite to them (unlike other telemarketers) and just asked to be taken off their call list. They're blocked now! ;-)

Go Bruins! I'm an alumnus of UCLA, so I'm happy to support my school with donations. However, I'm not a fan of doing so over the phone. I've gone as far as to change my registered phone number to a Google Voice mailbox, but somehow they figured out the correct contact info and are calling me again. The reason these calls are so effective (and for many, annoying) is that the student doesn't just come out and ask for money. I remember this telemarketing gig being touted as "the best paying job on campus" when I was a student, and those who are most effective present themselves as interested in your career and your connections to UCLA -- which makes it very difficult to hang up on them without feeling a bit rude. But thick skinned, I shall be, and I still won't be giving out my credit card number over the phone.
