Got this phone call today. It was a voice message. Came home from work to call the person back and wish him death, the phone is already disconnected. Steve Martin, heavy Indian accent, total POS.
Same call as indicated above, they do not identify who they are looking for and when you call directly, person with an accent and clearly sounds like a call center and says US Treasury - how may we help you...
received a call saying that I owed 5000.00 in taxes from 2013 and they were going to send out a police officer I told him I owed nothing and you can send out two officers and he hung up.
via voice mail: "Steve martin'' w / Indian accent called to inform me (not identifying who they are calling by name) that I'm in deep doo-doo with the IRS/US Treasury and want to help. (repeated three times) and want me to call 'um back or legal action will be taken.
Yeah right.
