Got this phone call today. It was a voice message. Came home from work to call the person back and wish him death, the phone is already disconnected. Steve Martin, heavy Indian accent, total POS.
Same as all above.... A guy with an Indian accent left a voice message claiming he's from a government agency and if someone doesn't call back legal action will be taken... Blah..blah blah...BS scam! I never answer unknown calls anymore due to all the scams going on. There's fake IRS, fake computer support, debt collectors, police charities, vet charities,US Treasury, fake cruises and the list goes on. Never give out personal info or wire money to anyone or place u don't know. Double check the places they are claiming to be from. These lowlifes have nothing better to do than to steal from anyone they can.
I see the same 'Steve Martin' with an (east) Indian accent is making the rounds aplenty today. How stupid do they think we are? Same scam as being reported by those above... no use repeating. Avoid this number like the plague! IF any action were to be implemented by the IRS they'd snail-mail official documentation to your home address - not threaten legal action via phone. Don't be fooled!
I got a call from them. Claiming I was facing charges for a federal offense. They did not even know my name. Hah! This is harassment. Why doesn't the fca have a handle on these crooks who are out there stealing from the vulnerables.
