I am about to cancel my home with AT&T. About +90% of the calls I receive on this phone are unwanted, unrequested, unexpected bothering calls with 310-409-0533 being only one of them. Sadly, canceling my service will hurt AT&T, not the companies and individuals that engage in thise useless business of calling to get who-knows-what out of you.
got the same call but its not Beverly Hills, if you look its Beverly Hill, the S is not there, which could easily mean maybe Benny Hill [the comedian]called ha ha. As far as using the term "Police officers" its to scare you like they might take revenge on you if you dont donate and put you on a list in case your pulled over in a car., they can put that where the sun dont shine. when you confront the caller just ask him if hes a cop, and its almost a 100% guarantee hes not, but they use terms like "Sir" as well as other manners of speech a cop would use to make you believe they are, its all B.S. What they dont say is how much of the take they keep for expenses which could be as high as 95%. The only reason there is a 5% donation to whatever enforcement agency gets it is to make it all legal, and thats it, have no fear of these jerks, push back and they will fall back and you will feel you put them in their place. Remember, you control the conversation and you can end it anytime you wish.
Calls and hangs up on voice mail. I block all these numbers and somehow they seem to know it because they seldom call back once it is blocked. If not blocked, they call at least daily.
They call me too regularly on my ATT home line. Then I bought a new
Panasonic phone at Costco that lets you block 250 numbers and even whole area codes. Now we never get a call from a scammers twice. Best $99 I ever spent.
Some phony COP RIPOFF calls all the time. I told the guy I DON'T LIKE COPS!!!!!!!!! Even the good ones. They get great pay, full medical, dental, optical and catastrophic, paid leave, loads of paid overtime, they have a strong union with extra benefits and a good credit union. When many folk I know got job layoffs, lost their homes and destroyed their credit ratings. The cops got pay raises every year. Now they want me to cough up money? SCREW THEM! If I give anything its to the Disabled American Veterans only, everyone else can kiss my [***], that includes the cops, firemen and any government employees.
