I just the call. This is a scam. The IRS does not call and threaten with lawyers. If they need to contact you regarding pending money owed, they will send you a letter in the mail and give you time to correct the situation. If it is a serious matter or you ignore their letters, they will send the next letter certified. Saw this scam on two different news shows.Be careful!!! The sharks are out there.
I got multiple calls from this number over the course of several days and then 2 within the same few hours. I didn't answer the first few days but today I answered and got the same recording that had been leaving me messages. I called the number back to ask them to remove me from their call list. The gentleman (if you can call him that) on the other line said he was with the IRS. I promptly told him that this service was calling me too much and I wished to be removed from the call list as I had no pending business with the IRS. He replied with profanity so I hung up. I didn't get to the point where they asked me for money or anything else.
