AGA associates, or so they claim to be, are really a represenatives of a debt collection agency that mildly impersonates government officials until they can get you on the phone. Think about it... The government claims that they are broke, so why would they hire, by way of outsourcing, to non-governmental personnel to handle your 1099(anything) when in fact IRS information is kept with confidence. The IRS will either call you directly or send you a letter requesting a callback if there was any additional paperwork or information needed. All of this is nothing but strategic tactics that collection agencies are now using. So, what do we do? Evolve!
People!! Guard your hearts and your family and YOUR money!! This Erik Freeman needs to get a REAL job like the rest of us do to get money we need or want!! This is as bad as a drug dealer! I just got a call from this company and spoke to a guy named Eric. He is threatening me with a 1099 C. This debt is from 1999. It's not even on my credit report? Can they do this????????????????????????
