My caller ID from this number also said: NCO. They ask for a person that doesn't live here. When I told them that, they said that they'd remove my number and it would take up to 48 hours to do it. I have a high suspicion that it's a collection agency.
I got 3 Calls from 310-862-9033 from this number and once I got a voicmail from this number. The voicemail was for 1.55mts but there was no message but I can hear a person breathing. Finally I took the 4th call and the person was asking for 2 names and I politely said that those names are not here. In another 10mts, I got a call from 1-877-8038009 and I got a automated message asking me to call back. I did call back and spoke to a Rep who started by asking for my Capital One number. I explained to him and he said he would my number from the system. I asked them about themselves and they said, they are NCO Financial Services and they are in Horsham,PA.
This is not a Capital One number, they are posing as Capital One because these are fradulent calls. When I called back they asked for my Capital One acct and when I didn't give it they hung up the phone. I called Capital One and asked if my account was in good standing and the rep said yes. I told him about the phone calls and he gave me a # to report it to their fraud dept. Don't give any information to these people.
I have been receiving calls from this number for a very long time now...I finally went to the website and called their consumer hotline. I explained to the woman that I have been receiving these calls for some time and that I was more than angry with them. I explained to her I had no affiliation with this comapny...you know what I'm going to save myself the grief .....basically it took me foreve for her to say she could pt me on the list to not get called and said she didnt have a referance number until i talked her down and she gave me a 3-digit "id" number...idk what is with these people
