I just got a call from Anchorage, Alaska, 907-570-4568. It was a recorded message that claimed to be the Bank of America fraud detection department, or something like that. It said there was suspicious activity on my account, then disconnected. I called Bank of America. They had not made that call.
This caller is from C.S.I.R. Recovery Services. It is a collection agency. I have filed a BBB complaint against them for harassment and abuse. Here is their website: http://www.csirecoveries.com/ I recommend everyone file a BBB complaint against them for their harassing and abusive treatment of anyone who calls them. Threats are illegal when it comes to collections. If they have threatened you, I recommend immediately filing a report.
I just received a call from this Ron Ridely Guy and as i see form all your messages its clearly a scam.. the most interesting part is there is no way in the world anyone would know this number is associated with me (long story wont get into it here) so clearly its a scam since the person on the phone did not use my name or did not give any information about himself however when i called this number back the recording said " this number can not be allocated"
Ron Ridley sounds like that old man on those Diabetes commercials for old people lol
I received a phone call from this number at 4:15pm. The Caller ID said "Legal". I thought it was someone I work with, so I answered. Most of everything I've read from others is just about the same, however, 'Ron Ridley', in a loud, intimidating voice, identified himself in a recorded message he is an attorney, and if I don't speak to him by 5:00, he says "I can't help you." I have called twice to see what they want. The first time, I had to dial a "1" to speak to someone and a "0" the second time. Both times I was on hold for a short time and then a female recorded voice says, "You have reached the corporate office. Please leave your name and number and we'll get back to you." I did not leave a message. This is completely strange. I don't know if this is an attempt to verify or get personal information, or what. I do have two relatives by marriage who consistently use my personal info and that of my parents in order to gain credit. Lately we've been getting numerous collection calls for one of them. I've been telling the companies not to call again, and suspect our info is being sold.
