Just got a call from them. Pressed 9 to get to live person. Trying to offer reduced interest rat on credit card. Knew instantly it was a scam, but played along to waste her time. After stringing her along for a while, she finally got the idea she wasn't going to fool me and ended the call.
This is one of the oldest scams out there. I've been receiving calls like this for more than ten years. As publicized a scam as this one is, I'm surprized that they are still trying it. I guess there are still enough gulible people out there to make it worth your while.
First, YOUR credit card company would never call you with an offer like that. What makes you thing someone else would. Don't be a victim.
Recieved a call from this number on 2/1/11. They don't identify themselves but they tell you that this is the last chance that you can lock in a lower interest rate of 6.5% on your credit card. I hung up the phone. I don't have time for scans. I'm sure they will call back again.
