These jerks call me several times a week and this has been going on for years. I never answer but finally I thought I'd try to get off their list. As soon as I told a "representative" politely that I was not interested and to take me off their list, she hung up on me. So much for being civil and polite. I hope that karma catches up to those pieces of slime. The sad thing is that I was put on hold for about five minutes before I could talk to one of these creeps so there must be lots of people falling for this crap.
This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call list in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by not having an operator on the line when the call is answered, and still further violate the TCPA by playing a recorded message without an operator on the line to answer questions. When you do get to an operator, the operation violates the TCPA by stating that they are not allowed to provide a phone number or physical address when asked - information the TCPA requires them to provide and that 100% of legitimate businesses would gladly provide for their customers or potential customers. Their recording states that this is your second (false, they call repeatedly) and final (also false, they will call again within a week) notice to get your credit card bills reduced and that you need to talk to a representative to get qualified. This is clearly a scam. Do not provide this scammer any personal or financial information.
Was for FREE medical alert system- calls business number everyday - just hand up. Today talked to them and
ask them to remove the phone number - I can help you with that - then hangs up.
