gentleman called me (321-224-8053) and said i have a civil suit against me and need to call to verify w/my case number....bull crap, second call i have had from this same scenerio about 6 months ago. who can we call and complain too!
When I made contact with these scammers the told me perty much everthing that was sais by everyone else here and when I ask for something in writting they perty much told me they don't have to and been trying to locate me for years, so just to see I asked if I decided to make payment arrangement what do I do they told me they would transfer me to a pay check by phone service I laugh told them they were crazy and got hung up on.
These guys must be frauds. I just got a call from someone who proceeded to threaten me and then hang up on me 3 times. They said I owed money from back in 2000. Over 9 years ago! I told them I would be reporting them to the BBB. They said they are "Legal Assets and Seizures"

I got a call from one of these jokesters claiminag a Civil Suite is pending. They either try to collect a zombie debt over 10 years old, or make something up to try and sucker you into a payment arangement. Unfortunately I fear these scum bags will scare someone gullible like a senior citizen into giving up somme money. The only thing we can do is 1) Don't even bother calling them back or verify that you are the person they are calling. 2)Demand something in writing to get their mailing address. 3) Report them to the FTC or BBB 4)Go to the Fair Credit Reporting act web site (Google it) , draw up a statement that they are not to bother you or contact you again concerning any debt over 10 years old or not incurred by yourself 5) And if necessary contact a lawyer to file a class action suit again these A-holes. These are the worst kind of pond scum.
To follow up on my previous comment. and especially if you are a Senior Citizen , or know of a Senior Citizen who gets one of these harrassing calls. Please consider contacting your local Congressional offices. I've heard recently that they take this type of harrassment every seriously and Im sure one of the Congressional Aides would like nothing better than to light a fire under the [***] of these type of low lives.
these parasites called my sister about 3 months ago. they stated they are a law firm...make sure you record the call. they refuse to give an address or fax #....so you can request authenticity of the debt. they will not allow you to pay with debit or credit....paper trail. i encourage you to walk these idiots into providing their western union quick collect info....therefore, you can contact western union and report them as fraudulent. also, report them to the attorney general. they are not listed as a collection agency and break many laws.
