gentleman called me (321-224-8053) and said i have a civil suit against me and need to call to verify w/my case number....bull crap, second call i have had from this same scenerio about 6 months ago. who can we call and complain too!
Said me or my lawyer needed to cal 312-224-8053 with thie ACC1010 about the civil action pending against me , had no information of any kind as to what it was about
Samantha Beinowski called from Chicago, looking for my mother. Told me my mother was being sued by our home state (some 2000 miles from Chicgo) and she was representing them. Said it was urgent for my mother or her attorney to call back in reference to a case #. Said my mother could also wait for summons. We don't have long distance service, but was told by Samanatha that my mother needed to find someone who had it, as she nor her company had an 800#. There is no suit pending, I believe this is a BS line, scam, shady collector. Why would our state hire someone 2000 miles away to represent them in a "civil suit"? We have gotten nothing in writing from them, and according to Samantha her company doesn't send out letters. Hey lady, if you are reading this--that is BS according to the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act). Gave my mother the message and it was used for TP since that is what it was written on. Very condenscending tone, telling me I needed a pen & paper to take message. I used crayon and TP :P Crooks!!
Ok, as an experiment, I caled them back-NO ANSWER. Nothing. Just a message for me to leave them a message. No address information, no toll-free information, NOTHING.
If they were a legit place, they would have a place for you to send payments if you owe them or the creditor they represent.
