"IRS has filed lawsuit against you--WTF ? Why are these scammers permitted to keep operating after they have been ID'ed by many ? Lock up the service provider

Unfortunately most - if not all -- of these scammers are in India or Pakistan and use VOIP or Magic-Jacks to make the calls.

Just got the same call, the number is 1-312-262-0496 is it a scam?

They call me left a message said the IRS is suing me

Caller ID: Unknown Name 312-262-0496. As I was expecting a call, I answered. Shocked to discover from a truly poor computer generated voice that the IRS has filed lawsuit papers against me. Nice. TYVM.
