Wanted to verify information. I researched this with my local agency and found that this company also does verification for credit card companies. Have any of you applied for credit cards recently?
I just received a call from them. It seemed to be legitimate and he did mention a job that I had applied for online. Told me he was a pre-screener and wanted to verify information. Said call would take from 5 - 45 minutes and I agreed. He verified my name, email, and street address. Asked me about furthering my education and I said I did not intend to do so at this time. He then thanked me for my time and said that any further correspondence would be from prospective employer. I think he probably was more interested in signing me up for online courses or something because call didn't even last 5 minutes. He did say he was with carreer network.
this number called my cell phone twice today, within a matter of 45 minutes. i didn't answer and there's no voicemail. it has to be some sort of telemarketing scam or ridiculous ploy to sell you something... but that's just my opinion
