This is a phishing scam. they say they are calling about your credit card and your time is running out for lower rates. I pressed 1 just to see and it is a foreign voice on the line. they want your credit card info. when I asked him what bank he was from, he panicked and just kept asking for my info then I hung up.
They called my very private cell phone number TWICE at 7:48 AM PDT on 13 June 2016. I did not answer. They did not leave a message. My phone numbers are on the Do Not Call list. I will report them to DoNotCall.gov.
NEW TRICK: The phone spammers call twice in the same minute to the same victim phone number, making it appear as if a real person is trying to reach you and it is very important. Don't fall for it.
These people are just despicable devil dog scammers, using a tie-line with a pirated or rented telephone number, supposedly from a block of numbers for cell phones. They need to be locked up along with the telephone company executives that rent the numbers to be these criminals. Instead of abating, telephone terrorism seems to be escalating, with an endless variety of scams and come-ons. Sadly, they find a lot of suckers that will give them credit card numbers over the phone. It takes a continual, substantial funding stream to cover expenses for robo-callers, staff, office rent, tie-line and number rental, etc., etc. May they rot in hell.
Yet another "last notice" for my (wink wink) nonspecific credit card. They have a great offer for a better interest rate for this "credit card." All I have to do is press one! Only problem, I love interest! I have all kinds of interest. I collect it like a dung beetle. I roll around in it. Oh I wish these phone crooks would start making toast in the bathtub! Zap!
