Received this call on 10/02/2016 at 1:12pm. It came in as BLUCROSSBLESHLD. A message was left by a woman saying, "Hello, this is Veronica calling on behalf of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona. We're conducting a search study about your experience with them. We will call you back at a different time. Thank you very much. Goodbye." I immediately went online and looked this number up and it is a non_voip_number out of Chicago, Illinois, which tell me this is some kind of a scam. I have had this insurance for years and no has ever call me with a survey....especially on a Sunday. Think about it. Besides, it did not sound very professional. Do not get taken in by these calls. I'm not and I'm going to block the number right now.
Just use common sense with these kinds of calls. This is NOT Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield people. The real Anthem is going to send correspondence with the USPS, they are not going to call you unless you have an ongoing case with them and you'll have a person with a name and extension number etc.. Don't even answer these unsolicited calls...but if you must... just ask them for their name and extension number and you'll call them back at the number you have on the back of your card...and guess what?...they'll hang up because they are PHISHERS, SCAMMERS, THIEVES, CRIMINALS and some other names I can't type on here LOL What a world we live in huh?
