Caller asking for person in charge of our phone system (2nd call in 3 days). I put her on hold to look up the number. Went back to decline call and ask to be removed from their call list, but she had hung up. I called the number right back to request removal from their call list and got a message to leave a message, followed immediately by another message that the voicemail box was full, followed immediately by another message telling me an error had occurred and then the call automatically ended. WHAT A JOKE. Totally bogus call to begin with and the next one we get we'll be demanding to be removed from their call list. STOP WASTING OUR TIME.
*** SCAM ALERT*** I received a call from 312-546-3315 on June 25, 2010. An automated message called today saying that my unspecified "debit" card had been de-activated, and to re-activate "dial 1"...well I did just to see what would happen, and the automated voice instructed me to be ready to provide 3 things...the first was the credit/debit card number. I did not enter it, of course. I'm assuming they would have then asked for social security number, and B-day...then they would have all they need to suck the $ out of your account! Beware!!
I just received the same call on my cell phone; all I can determine is that it is an unlisted number from Chicago. We had a similar call to our home phone number about a week ago from a different number. Scary.
This seems like a total scam! I got a call (kind of a scratchy message) saying that my debit card has been deactivated. I then needed to enter 3 key pieces of information (shouldn't they already have this???)!!! Needless to say, I hung up...hopefully you did too!!!
