I have caller ID so I don't answer any of these calls, but I don't want to be bothered with them am usually busy have to stop what I doing to find out it is no good.
Called the number back and the recording sounded amazingly like a valid MDA spiel. The area code is for Chicago/Springfield, IL. Since it was about 06:30 PM in Chicago when I received the call, no one is likely to be in the office until Monday. On the other hand, this number is not listed on the MDA website and a Google search does not link it to MDA.
This could be a non profit organization. If this is the case, it does not apply to the DNCR. However I tend not to trust any caller claiming to represent a charity.
