I got a call from this number also. Same IRS scam. If the IRS were after you, you would receive a legal letter in the mail, not a automated phone message. Blocked number...Is there not a real government department that can be notified about these scams?
I have had several calls from the same person identifying himself as Officer Jack over the period of a couple years! I get an VM from a female person with an Indian accent telling me to call back immediately and officer Jack usually answers. The last time this happened I blocked my caller ID from identifying my number and called them back continuously asking them when the cops would show up and telling them that they were scammers and what not. After several hundred calls (literally) they disconnected that phone number. The positive side of this is that they end up loosing the time and effort laid out by calling people and leaving the messages to contact them because they had to abandon the phone number. It helps the poor people that may end up getting sucked into this scam because the number is no longer active.
