they left a message on my machine that there was a legal action being taken against me on behalf of the IRS.. same scam goes around every year about this time. I don't answer.
"Ted Mason" called from the U.S. Treasury Inforcement Unit. Called to confirm funds have not been sent yet in regards to my taxes, and that the inforcement unit is waiting on standby for my arrest if I do not comply by bank transfer or official wire.
This msg was in my voicemail on my landline phone: "This is Mason from The US Treasury Dept. You must call 312-878-5648 to avoid being outside the law. Help us help you to do the right thing, etc., etc."
Anward jonathen named person call through this number and told he was from Nabilgo department of internal revenue. It was unclear name and office. Just I try to figure out this name like this. He threaten me that I am in criminal record and call back to him. Otherwise God bless you.
LOL everyone, I received a call about 5min ago and they left a message with a docket # and said it was extremely time sensitive materials and I needed to call the immediately due to legal action being taken and if I do not replay then good luck and God bless.. So being curious with what they have to say I called back them back and this is how the conversation went: An Indian chap named Erick said he is affiliated with IRS and wanted then he asked me for my name and I replied you called me so you should have my name on record, the chap paused a few seconds then said "[***]" and then he hung up on me (LOL) "SCAM". Remember if this is a true caller and they called you with your phone # then that means once the number calls back all your information would show up on there screen, just be cautious with your answers!!
