i also have been dealing with a person with this same number that wants to buy our entertainment center. he has been giving us the run around, he did send a cashiers check thru usps but we could not cash it anywhere, it was suspicious activity as told to us by bank teller and other places we went to cash it. did you ever find out if it was a scam with yours or not?

This is a total scam. I just got a text from this number yesterday (07/31/13). They stated that they wanted to buy by bedroom set I had listed on Craigslist. They stated that they were from Missouri and was buying the set for their neice that was a single mother so they needed to pay with a cashier's check. They said they would send me a check for the cost of the furniture PLUS and extra $1250 so that I could pay the movers. Uh...no! I told them if they wanted to have movers pick it up, then they would need to pay the movers directly. Didn't hear from them again. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!
Just got a text this morning from this number. I am selling a car and they claimed to be a mechanic and wanted to purchase it, that they were at their workshop in Missouri snd their dealer would come pick it up. Wanted to send a cashiers check for $3850 that they had due to a cancelled order they had made previously. Wanted me to cash the cehck, and give the balance to the dealer when they came and picked up the car. SCAM SCAM SCAM. I said I only deal in person and with cash and they have not responded since.
