i also have been dealing with a person with this same number that wants to buy our entertainment center. he has been giving us the run around, he did send a cashiers check thru usps but we could not cash it anywhere, it was suspicious activity as told to us by bank teller and other places we went to cash it. did you ever find out if it was a scam with yours or not?
Pretty much the same story. "The mechanic" in Misouri wants to buy a vehicle I have for sale. he sent mea couple of texts. I told him fine, but cash only, I won't accept his cashiers check. Said he had to call his shipper. Called me back and said shipper is ok with it and he needs my address to send the check to. Uh-uh, I want cash. Do a bank to bank transfer, or even Paypal. He doesn't have that, he says. I said this isn't the first vehicle I have sold, i know better than that.
It even says right on the Craigslist ads not to do this, and even if I had no common sense, I should be able to read that and follow it.
I sent him this in my last message, I doubt it will be an epiphany:
Why do you @$$holes even try to pull this $h1t.
Do you think people don't check your bull$h1t on the Internet? Don't call me or text me again. While you are at it, just quit bugging people all together. Get a real job.

I got a text from this number wanting to buy my armoire off of Craigslist...same stuff, Missouri, buying for single mom, blah, blah...after reading all this I texted them back and said that 'I dont deal with moving companies or take checks'...never heard from again. Idiots need to...get...a...job... >(
!!!!!!!! SCAMMER !!!!!!! Raymond Robinson at 313-444-2452 from Missouri. This is the name he used to "buy" my furniture for his poor, desolate niece. Oh Boo Hoo. He may be an idiot, but people who fall for this roose are even stupider.
Same story!! He wanted to buy furniture to help a single mom, and cashiers check will be sent by mail today so I can change it on monday!! I reported this to the police and of course nothing happens. My question is how does he make the scam? Do people load the things in his car and then realize the check has no funds? I do not understand
