Phone rings, it goes to the answering machine and they hang up. Caller ID says DETROITZN6. Caller ID# is 1-313-757-6785. Don't answer your phone. They are looking for someone to answer and then they know it is a working phone number. If you answer you're phone it confirms that your home, what time your home and it is a working phone number. Those phone numbers that call from you're own area code are most likely computer generated numbers and many come from overseas. I have had on several occasions, the phone rings and MY name and phone number shows up on the Caller ID! I called my carrier and they said "Never answer you're phone when that happens! The phone carrier said nothing can be done to stop them and you do not want to block you're own phone number.
It's a shame these days we need to check every phone number that calls us. Someone always has a "free" something too give us. My grandfather told me many years ago when I was a child, "Nothing is ever free". Also, remember the days when you just picked up you're phone and said "Hello"? In my humble opinion, never answer you're phone unless you know who it is.
