My father brought me a post-it with the message, "I dropped by, we need to talk. Please give me a call. 314-301-8847. He thought maybe it was from my boyfriend. First of all, it wasn't from my boyfriend. Secondly, this is the most creepy and cheap form of canvasing I've ever seen. No company name, no explanation. The font used is obviously trying to make it look like a hand written note. Seems like Canopy Construction is the name floating around from other complaints. WEIRD.
Canopy Construction rang the doorbell and left a flyer on the door. A little later, the doorbell rang and I got the same post-it note, but it was signed "Sheri". There was a flyer on the door before they showed up and apparently they took that with them because it is gone. What a bunch of jerks.
I received the same post-it with the same message. I think this is an offensive way of advertising since some people may think it is a real message from someone and there was an emergency ("we need to talk"). Definitely wouldn't do business with a company trying this cheap "advertising" method.
