Called the first time and claimed to be Microsoft. I was unaware of the scam and stupidly followed through until they asked for money. I told don't them have a bank account, credit or debit card. They had spent about 1/2 and hour or better on the phone with me and the caller got desperate and gave himself away. So I laughed at him and hung up. The idiot called back after a few weeks and I just hung up. The idiot called back today and I cussed at him, called him out for being a scammer and told told him to get a real job. I tried calling the number back he called from and it is no longer in service. He probably will get a new number and continue to try and scam hardworking folks with actual legit jobs.
received a call from this # 2 times about 2 months apart stating they were from windows. Talked to them awhile the first time and ended up telling them to try their scam on someone else, they hung up immediately! just received the 2nd call from them today, with them stating the same thing. This time I immediately told them, lying of course, that the phone call was being recorded and traced, they said ok and hung up right away. If these guys were legitimate, I'm 99% sure they would not care if they were being recorded and traced and would continue on with their business to you. SCAM, period!
Male voice with Indian-like accent called from 315-210-8341, claiming to be Harry Johnson from Microsoft. Assumed the number he dialed is for me, but does not know my name. Does not know whether I have a computer or Microsoft. Gave me a call back number of 585-598-1399.
These people will not stop calling and harassing, when we tell them to stop calling they tell us to [***] off, call us [***] and the whole nine yards, how do you get them to stop calling!!
