For some reason my post was flagged as post pending moderator approval. Maybe I should not have mentioned the brand of call blocker machine I own - sorry.
Truly, though, I wish more people would research the resources available to them - whether it be through their phone service provider, the type of phone system they have or call blocker machines.
I received 3-4 calls from this NY number in 1 day. They would leave blank voice mails. When I answered one, it sounded like a call center in the background - very noisy. No one said anything and, suspecting a scam, I hung up. I decided to call back to check and got a "This number is not in service" message. Not sure what's going on, but I don't like it.
Same here ... they continue to call and the one time I answered they said nothing and hung up. I have been getting random calls from around the US within the couple weeks. I thought it was maybe cause of the Presidential election but why can you not call these numbers back? Someone sold my phone number and I am not very happy about it!
I received 2 miss calls and picked up the 3rd. The lady speaks broken english (sounded like latin american), do not understand my response as well, claiming herself calling from US Govt Grant Department, informing that my son won $9,000 dollar Free Grant and she gave another number 315-544-1181 to call and get more detials to receive the money. She sounded so stupid. I hope the innocent people will not respond to these groups.
