For some reason my post was flagged as post pending moderator approval. Maybe I should not have mentioned the brand of call blocker machine I own - sorry.
Truly, though, I wish more people would research the resources available to them - whether it be through their phone service provider, the type of phone system they have or call blocker machines.
Elvin from US Grants called and said my name and number matched a grant award for $9000. Individual had a heavy accent. I thanked him for his name and company and informed him I'm on the Do Not Call List and consider himself reported.
Called multiple times daily and offers US grants of $9,000. When I told them I didn't apply for any grants so I knew this was a scam they got very hateful and told me I couldn't prove it.
Just call a call from this number...male with a heavy accent..saying I had been chosen for a U S Government Grant for $8000. I asked him how I was selected. I let him ramble on for a minute...then asked him, "How do I know this is legitimate?" He didn't understand. I asked him the same question, along with, "How do I know this is not a scam?" to which he hung up. Dead giveaway of a scam.
