UPDATE: I took the call from them at 8 a.m. this morning and played into their game to get as much info as possible. They are reading from scripts, and if you ask them anything that goes off-script, they transfer you. I spoke to 3 people this morning: Louis Wilson, Heather Lawson and Ben Foster. In looking up Heather Lawson, I see complaints about this scam dating back to 2006!! Why can't we stop this?! This personal information should not be released when people apply for a payday loan.
When I asked for an address, they gave me 42 Broadway 5th Floor NY, NY 10004, and said they are the DCA Law Firm - Department of Corporate Affairs. In actuality, there IS a DCA at this address, but it is the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs.
When "Ben Foster" no longer felt like making up stories to answer my questions (such as "If this was in collections, why haven't I received a written notice within 5 days of initial contact, as per the law under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)?"), he said they would go ahead and process my file and we could deal with it at the courthouse on Monday. I sweetly answered "Oh yes, let's go ahead and do that." He was a bit surprised and then asked for my attorney's info, so I said "Yes, he definitely wants to talk to you" and gave him the info. Then I told him that we were aware this is a scam, that I have already reported him to the FTC and FBI, and that all calls were being recorded. I told him to never ever call here again or he would be the one showing up at the courthouse. I hung up. No callback yet. I am sick to my stomach with what these people are doing to scared, financially-strapped people.

These idiots have been calling me too. Always with a new American name with the same ol' middle eastern accent. I've spoken with these fools a couple of times. Pissed whom ever I was speaking to because he couldn't make me get scard, please! I told him he was a bad scam artist, and I wasn't sending them a damn dime. Today, I got a call at work...now I am fighting mad. I would suggest everyone who is being harassed to contact the FBI. They are constantly changing their phone number so it's going to be hard to catch them without help. I really want to stop them from preying on an elderly person on a fixed income.
I got a call with the same detaisl but from 631-772-9972.So I called them back and they said I have to pay $845.00 ny today or they will hunt me down.I did have some loans back then but they were all paid off like they would wait 2 years to collect if they were not paid
I was treatened jail if I did not pay up.Totaly confused I paid part. I had done a pay day loan that I thought was refused. So should I block the up coming payments?
OMG!! O feel much better now... that I read this. Someone just called and said I was being sued by cash partners of america and that they will come after me at my job etcv etc. basically the same thing that is posted here below by the other person. When I asked them to provide proof they kept saying that they will give it to my attorney not to me.. I could barely understand what they were saying cause their accent was very strong for someone who's name Jayson Smith although I continue to listen cause they were giving me personal info about myself that was true such my social, address and previous work addres.. To make long story short I got upset and told him that I was not at all familiar with whom ever he was saying that was sending me to court and can go and do what ever they want and hang up. No I got on line and started searching and finding this was such a relief..
