UPDATE: I took the call from them at 8 a.m. this morning and played into their game to get as much info as possible. They are reading from scripts, and if you ask them anything that goes off-script, they transfer you. I spoke to 3 people this morning: Louis Wilson, Heather Lawson and Ben Foster. In looking up Heather Lawson, I see complaints about this scam dating back to 2006!! Why can't we stop this?! This personal information should not be released when people apply for a payday loan.
When I asked for an address, they gave me 42 Broadway 5th Floor NY, NY 10004, and said they are the DCA Law Firm - Department of Corporate Affairs. In actuality, there IS a DCA at this address, but it is the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs.
When "Ben Foster" no longer felt like making up stories to answer my questions (such as "If this was in collections, why haven't I received a written notice within 5 days of initial contact, as per the law under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)?"), he said they would go ahead and process my file and we could deal with it at the courthouse on Monday. I sweetly answered "Oh yes, let's go ahead and do that." He was a bit surprised and then asked for my attorney's info, so I said "Yes, he definitely wants to talk to you" and gave him the info. Then I told him that we were aware this is a scam, that I have already reported him to the FTC and FBI, and that all calls were being recorded. I told him to never ever call here again or he would be the one showing up at the courthouse. I hung up. No callback yet. I am sick to my stomach with what these people are doing to scared, financially-strapped people.
Just got this bogus call stating I tok out a loan for money had my last 4 digits of ssn and name of my bank after I told her she was mistaken she started screaming at me stating the police was coming to pick, me up and they would make sure I will never get any type of loan in my life again after I laugh nd,said go ahead she hung up
IM BEEN RECIVING A LOT OF CALL FROM THIS NUMBER 631-316-8916 AND THE PERSON WHOS CALLING IS ROBERT FOSTER (AMERICAN NAME AND THE PERSON WHO CALL IS AN INDIAN GUY) AND RECENTLY LIKE 30 MINUTES AGO ANOTHER PERSON CALLS ME FROM THIS NUMBER 646-558-0072 HE SAID HE WORK FOR CASH PARTNER OF AMERICA HIS NAME IS PAUL SMITH, HE SAID THAT I WAS SUED FOR 3 DIFFERENT CHARGE AND IFI DONT PAID $800.00 AND THE END OF THE DAY THERE GOING TO RELEASE THE PAPER TO COURT AND A MARSHALL IS GOING TO MY HOUSE TOMORROW ALSO HE CALLS HIMSELF AS A POLICE A SHERIFF FROM THE CIVIL COURT OF NEW YORK. I KNOW THIS IS A SCAM BECAUSE I CONTACT CASH PARTNER AND THEY TOLD ME THIS WAS A SCAM. I ALREADY CONTACT THE POLICE AND I GOING TO FIND WHOS BEHIND ALL THIS, BECUASE THIS IS VERY SERIOUS. I CAN BELIVE THAT PEOPLE DO THIS THING.
i got a call from parterner of america today saying that i owen them 1,095 and that if i want to stop the the legal process that i had to send at least half of what i owe (500.00) with in the hour of me talking to them. that they will sue me and arrest me for the money and then i would have to pay them back 5,000 they called me from 561-771-9232 when i called 411 to get an address it came back to a persons home in FL then they gave me some legal office thats spposed to be located in nyc but the phone number is a 631 657 7289 which is suffolk county number in longisland ny when i went to the BBB to file a complaint on them theres no bussiness under this name or the phone numbers they sent these people think that we are stupid and will fall for anything if you get this call hang up and call your local police and if they can find these people
I just receive a call saying i owe them money and they where collecting for Cash Partners Of American but, the # was 516-771-923. They claim that the police was coming to escort me to court, keep asking me to conform the last digits of my ss# and address and when i didn't they started cursing me out and push buttons on my phone. People never give anyone your personal infro especially your ss#. I look on the internet for cash partners of america there # was 646-448-0705 located 3 Court Street, Auburn,NY 13021. But i didn't call just want to see if they assisted.
THE VERY SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT THE NUMBER THEY ARE USING NOW IS 561 771 9232!! THE FIRST CALL IRECEIVED CAME LAST WEEK BUT I MISSED IT AND THEY LEFT ME A VOICEMAIL..THE LADY WITH A THICK ACCENT TOLD ME THAT I OWED 1233.00 FOR A PAYDAY LOAN THAT I RECEIVED IN 2009, THAT THE CALL WAS A FEDERAL CALL AND I WAS BEING RECORDED. SHE SAID THE LAST 4 NUMBERS IN M SOCIAL NEW 2 FRIENDS AND MY LAST EMPLOYER!! I BEGIN TO ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS ABOUT WHY I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY THING IN MAIL ETC. SHE SAID THAT MY JOB WOULD BE NOTIFIED ETC. I FINALLY HUNG UP!!!!!!!! THEY ARE VERY RUDE AND PERSISTENT!!!!!!
