Called the number back, a gentleman answered the phone and stated he was with the IRS. I asked him for his address so I could visit him. He promptly hung up on me. It's a scam.
I got a message from this number and it said I better not disregard this call and I better return it or all they could do was wish me blessings on what was going to happen to me.
I received same call, message from IRS. The IRS does not call people to call them back. If you are being audited, they will notify you via official means. Report number to IRS and move on. If you wish to see how the IRS notifies of audits either go to the website or call your local office.
Ditto: Got the same type of message from a foreign speaking person claiming to be a Ray Morgan. I am an old retired Police Officer. I am now at that age where we are target for such messages unless I get dementia I just look at it as an annoyance but there are too many in my age group that will worry and worst yet call these people just to get swindled. Definitely a SCAM
