Called the number back, a gentleman answered the phone and stated he was with the IRS. I asked him for his address so I could visit him. He promptly hung up on me. It's a scam.
Same thing, told me I was in trouble with the IRS, kept asking if I received something in mail... ( I think my refund) when I told him no and that if he was from IRS he would already know the answer to that question he hung up on me.. But same rude message on my phone....call me back or else..... well... I called them back, only to be hung up on... You can not understand the man on the other line.... DO NOT GIVE THIS PERSON ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION!!!!!
I got the same call on my cell phone. I didn't answer and the caller left me a voicemail. I couldn't understand the beginning of the message, as he had a very thick accent, but it was threatening. He said something about me or my attorney contacting him. He said "do not try to disregard this message and do return the call." He also said if he didn't hear from me or my attorney then the only thing he could do was wish me a very good luck. He said as the situation totally unfolds on me to have a blessed day. Geez.....he threatens me and then tells me to have a blessed day! Don't think I'm going to call him back and my attorney isn't going to either. Guess I'll have a blessed day!
This is a SCAM!!! The IRS does not call people who owe back Taxes. Ignore the message, do not call them back, do not give them any of your information! I repeat, this is a scam.
