Called the number back, a gentleman answered the phone and stated he was with the IRS. I asked him for his address so I could visit him. He promptly hung up on me. It's a scam.
I received that same voice mail , exactly as your experience . when I called back I asked what this was about . the men asked me for my name and I hung up on him did not even gave him my name. I felt it was froud right away.
They called and the voice message did not make much sense at all. The names were not clear at all, and the backwards tone of you will regret if you don't call back but we wish you a blessed day. That sounds like a foriegner trying really hard to sound like they are from somewhere in the United States. It's a SCAM and thank you for posting about this too guys! Some woman also called the day before about the same thing. Don't fall for it !
I am hearing impaired and I let the phone go to voice mail, as I don't understand a lot of what is being said. This call from 315-636-0147 terrified me. I'm an older woman, and was alone at the time. The voice was threatening, and frightening. I only could pick out some words because of my inability to understand heavy accents. I heard "If you don't call me back" and the words "you will be on a black list" and "if you don't call me back----???-----feel sorry--???--what happens to you.
