My husband just got a call from and Indian man stating he was from Microsoft and that our computer had reported an error 2 days ago. I said that is kind of odd since the computer had been off for over a month. The man kept insisting that it this wasn't a scam. I finally said he was full of sh*t and hung up on him.
I got a call from this number from a guy with a thick indian accent. Supposedly he tells me, he's a Microsoft tech calling me to tell me there's something wrong with my PC. He tried to get me to log into a site so he could access the system, and he didn't even bat an eye at my answer to "what browser are you using?" (I answered Netscape). After stringing him along 10 minutes, making him wait for loading, and other time wasters, he was finally getting impatient, then finally asked me to go F**K myself, then launched into nearly a minute long swearing tirade. I told him to have a nice day, but made him be the one to hang up.
