The caller claimed he was from Navient. He seemed very unprofessional and didn't seem to know what to say. He immediately asked for my date of birth, but then I questioned him. He responded nevermind have a good day. Very suspicious... I recommend not giving out personal information.
It is Navient and the time that they left a message it was so fast I could not get the guys name or where he was from. No call back from me. I will call them because I do have student loans but I hate when the Dept of Education sent my loan to them. I work in the poorest state in the union and for the schools. I make nothing with a Master degree mmm wonder if they take my degree back. Wish they would wait for me to call. I am trying to get out of debt after being unemployed for 3 years and two surgeries and expensice medication. Now with doctors I have to pay co-pay, then deductible, then whatever the medical doctors can charge to recoup their money. I just need a little more time no way to live off one salary.
I've been in a similar situation and have a large debt with student loans. If all the debt collection companies I have had to deal with Navient has been the most reasonable/flexible/helpful in dealing with my repayment! Once I explained where I was financially and the fact that I actually WANT to make payments but simply cannot because of the medical issues preventing me getting adequate work they have worked with me to get payments lowered and getting things like deferment to work for me.
